Overview

IVO Networks Threat Management Gateway Series appliances enables businesses by allowing employees to safely and productively use the Internet for business without worrying about malware and other threats. It provides multiple layers of continuously updated protections that are integrated into a unified, easy to manage gateway, reducing the cost and complexity of Web security.

IVO Networks is a Microsoft Authorized OEM design, manufacturer and distributor of Microsoft DirectAccess Concentrator appliances that have been designed based on Windows Server Embedded 2008 R2 64-bit, and security hardened operating systems.

IVO Networks has also designed into our Threat Management Gateway appliance mainboard integrated Nitrox IPsec/SSL encryption processor chipsets to provide end users with the performance and response times they expect with Microsoft networking technology.  This gives IVO solutions a performance advantage over competing solutions that use general purpose server components with add-on PCIe boards to try and bolster general server under performance.

Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) appliances offer a complete Internet connectivity solution that contains both an organizational firewall and a complete Web cache solution.  Forefront TMG secures your network, allowing you to implement your business security policy by configuring a broad set of rules that specify which sites, protocols, and content can be passed through client computers. Forefront TMG monitors requests and responses between the Internet and internal client computers, controlling who can access which computers on the corporate network. Forefront TMG also controls which computers on the Internet can be accessed by internal clients.

Forefront TMG can be deployed as a dedicated firewall that acts as the secure gateway to the Internet for internal clients. Forefront TMG protects all communication between internal computers and the Internet. In a simple firewall scenario, the Forefront TMG appliance has two network adapters, one connected to the local network and one connected to the Internet.  By setting the security access policies, you prevent unauthorized access and malicious content from entering the network. You can also restrict what traffic is allowed for each user and group, application, destination, content type, and schedule.

The Forefront TMG Web proxy implements a cache of frequently requested objects to improve network performance. You can configure the cache to ensure that it contains the data that is most frequently used by users in your organization or accessed by your Internet clients.
