IVO vRemote Gateway Appliances Overview

The IVO vRemote Gateway Series is a cross-platform clientless appliance that eliminates the need for legacy VPN or SSL VPN technologies while offering secure, web-browser enabled telecomputing access to all of your applications, storage and network data center resources and is fully integrated with the IVO Building Block infrastructure for Personal Utility Computing. As a dedicated network appliance device, the vRemote Gateway integrates seamlessly into existing network and security infrastructures, while offering rapid deployment, easy installation, minimal maintenance, and unparalleled network protection and application performance that cannot be matched by legacy VPN and SSL VPN technologies.

The vRemote Gateway enables dramatic performance capabilities like being able to open (or retrieve in your email) 50MB documents in just a few seconds over 28.8Kbps dial-up modem connections while eliminating the costly need to have any of your applications installed on remote devices and home users PCs.  Because all of the computing, storage and applications remain in your IVO Personal Utility Computing infrastructure in the data center, the power and configuration of the remote device being used becomes mostly irrelevant.  A remote user on a Windows 95 machine with 32MB of memory would still receive a high-powered Windows XP virtual desktop session when connecting through the vRemote Gateway.  And because the vRemote Gateway never establishes a true network connection into your corporate network, the remote device could have a virus, out of date security patches and an improperly configured personal firewall and still not be able to infect or jeopardize your corporate network.
